Sensata is introducing Sensata Resonix™ sensors, a new line of A2L gas detection sensors intended to assist HVAC OEMs to deliver their next-generation designs without compromise.

The global shift to natural refrigerants requires HVAC/R OEMs to add A2L refrigerant leak detection sensors to ensure safe operation. To detect A2L leaks, detection needs to occur in challenging operating conditions where high temperature variation, humidity and splashing water could degrade a sensor's longevity and reliability. Sensata Resonix sensors are specifically designed for challenging HVAC and refrigeration conditions. The new sensor family provides A2L gas sensing technology with no calibration or re-zeroing needed over the entire 15+ year lifetime of the sensor. With Sensata Resonix sensors, manufacturers get a best in-class response time that improves system safety without false alarms to impact the system.
